Friday night marks the 2nd annual Gore Girl Contest presented by Zia Records in association with I Can Smell Your Brains .Com, Girls and Corpses Magazine.

This year, tagged as the Gore Girl Death Pageant, it will be more like a beauty pageant where a winner will be crowned as next year’s face of the International Horror and Sci-Fi Festival which means her image will be used in promotional materials and online to promote the 2010 Festival!

She will also get a gore girl shoot on I Can Smell Your Brains .Com and be featured in an upcoming issue of Girls and Corpses Magazine!

Girls should arrive dressed and ready for the pageant. The contest begins at 10:15PM so you will need to arrive at Madcap by 9:00PM to confirm your registration. And like the living say, dress to impress!

Girls will be judged by the creativity of their costumes and their personality. You will be walking down a runway, maybe brandishing a weapon of choice, and asked a few fun questions in front of the audience such as why you feel you should be crowned as the new queen of blood and guts.

And yes - you can save the world peace answers for those other fools; this pageant is more interested in the deads conquest for world domination!

The judges for the pageant will be last year’s winner Talia Fuentes and I Can Smell Your Brains creators Danny Northside and Brandon.

Prizes will be awarded to every runner up and we are looking to make this a fun event for the audience and everyone involved!
