A horror comedy about a ghost who haunts a house in order to stay out of Hell. Trouble comes into play for the ghost when he falls for the new tenant of the house. On the road to happiness, Jonas battles all-American families, a chauvinistic landlord, redneck date-rapists, giant eight-foot demons, an evil ex-girlfriend, bureaucratic angels, and a supreme ruler who appears in the form of James Earl Jones.
